ImageAfter a very successful organizational meeting this spring, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the American Musicological Society is back in business. With approximately fifteen attendees—including several former officers from the older incarnation— representing a number of different area schools, the chapter voted to reconstitute itself under its old bylaws, and elected the following officers:

President: Phil Gentry (University of Delaware)
Secretary-Treasurer: Elizabeth Morgan (St. Joseph’s University)
AMS Council Representative: Maria Purciello (University of Delaware)
AMS Student Council Representative: Suzanne Bratt (University of Pennsylvania)

We have also set up an email list; please visit here if you wish to be added to the mailing list, or email one of the officers. We will begin taking dues and keeping a formal membership list at our fall meeting.

Thanks to everyone for your hard work!
